Set in the heart of the picturesue market town of Turre in Andalucia, our luxury two bedroom apartment is available to let all year round. Only a ten minute drive to the beautiful beaches of Mojacar and Vera with an abundance of lovely beach bars and seafood restaurants. Turre itself has a long history dating back to Roman and Moorish empires. It has eyecatching plazas and fabulous mountain scenery and is peppered with new and traditional tapas bars and restaurants. Local cuisine is for all tastes and includes Argentinian, Indian, Chinese, Italian and English restaurantes as well as the more traditional Andalucian fayre. Everything you need can be found in Turre. Doctors, dentists, pharmacy, supermarkets and fresh butchers and bakers.

Transport - There is a bus service which runs through Turre and links Mojacar and on to Vera where the main bus station has routes right through Spain. The capital of the province Almeria is only just over an hour ride and a return ticket costs €12. There are local taxis which operate throughout the whole day and there is an Almeria based 24 hour taxi phone line in contact with all the area operators. Airports - Almeria is 45 minutes - Murcia (San Javier) is 1hr 30 mins - Alicante is 2hrs 10mins. If you require transfers to and from the airport please state when contacting as usually we can provide this service at a small extra cost. |
Things to do - Apart from the obvious lounging about on sun soacked beaches, the area has a lot to offer for the more active or adventurous. Just some of the activities include, sailing, boat fishing, snorkeling, lawn bowling, gymnasium fitness centre, horse riding, Scuba diving, 4x4 mountain excursions, western theme park and zoo, aqua park, tennis courts, golf (Turre´s own course is just a few minutes from the centre of town) and even skiing in winter can be found at the Sierra Nevada mountains in Granada province about 2hrs drive. Sightseeing and Shopping: Not to be missed is the spectacular drive along the coast road from Mojacar to Carboneras (though not for the fainthearted), as it winds its way up and then descends in a switchback of bends revealing wonderful views at every turn. Visit Mini-Hollywood in Tabernas where the old film sets remain from the spaghetti western era. Mock 'shoot-outs' are played out for visitors. A trip to Granada and the famous Alhambra Palace is a must, as are the Sierra Nevada mountains. The nature reserve of Cabo de Gata is dedicated to both land and marine areas. The villages of San Jose and Agua Amarga are delightful, as are the many small secret coves to be found. Almeria city is very interesting to explore and also good for shopping, with a wide variety of shops, restaurants and tapas bars.
Accommodation - A luxury 2 bedroom apartment benefiting from hot and cold air conditioning, ceiling fans and mosquito netting on all windows. There is a fully equiped kitchen, a full bathroom and seperate cloakroom. On the roof is a large solarium area and amply sized swimming pool for community use in the summer months.
